DIY Table Runners

I've been obsessed with everything chevron for a while now so when I came across this photo - I knew I had to have chevron table runners for our reception.

First I looked into buying them and at $15-25 each, it was going to be too expensive so I hunted down the fabric online. The best price I found was on www.babybedding.com of all places. I calculated that I would need 10 yards of fabric (10 yards of 57"W fabric yielded 3 runners across x 4 runners long = 12 runners).

I had to take the fabric to work to cut since it was HUGE!
After a couple hours of measuring and cutting, I finally had the runners cut to their pre-sewn measurements. I then took them home to iron and pin the hem and sew them up!
It took pretty much two solid weekends of working on these but they turned out fantastic and I saved at least $120.00.
