So Excited!

I've been working on some felt bags for the last couple weeks and I just got some of the new merch in the shop today. Felt is such a fun medium to work with and makes a quite beautiful product.

So far I have a few flat bottom zip pouches - more colors coming soon!

I love this clutch! The heathered gray felt is so soft and the felt & tulle flowers were really fun (and time consuming) to make.

Sneak Peek!

I just received a bunch of new supplies - colorful zippers and wool felt solids. They are materializing in the form of zip flat bottom pouches first.

Here they are after they get their zippers sewn on.

I should have a few in the shop tomorrow!

Busy Bee!

My zipper shipment finally arrived so I was a busy busy sewing bee today and whipped up a few more wristlets. Three of the new ones are in the store now and I'll photograph and list two more tomorrow. I'm also finishing up a batch of small cosmetic zip pouches that should get listed tomorrow evening.

Once the zippered items are finished I'll get back to work on the frame clutches.

Keep checking back for new items!

Banana Bread

It's been years since I've had my mom's banana bread so I decided a few weeks ago to try making it myself. It was so easy and delicious that I made it again last night.

Here is the recipe:

2 1/2 cups of flour
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp salad oil (I use melted butter)
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3 medium)

Heat oven to 350
Grease and flour 9x5x3 loaf pan (Pam spray is fine)
Measure all ingredients into mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed 1/2 minute, scraping side and bottom of bowl constantly.
Pour into pan. Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from pan.
Cool thoroughly before slicing.

What is Atomique47?

I'm an interior designer by trade but due to the current economic situation, I've found myself with more free time than usual. I've always been a crafty and creative person and decided to put my interests, skills and free time to use and be productive!

The name Atomique47 is inspired by my beloved horse Silver. "47" is the atomic number for the chemical element Silver and thus "Atomique47" was born.

I've spent the last few weeks building an inventory for the Etsy shop and hope that you'll enjoy watching as this venture grows and evolves. This blog is not just a place for store announcements but a place for me to explore my creative mind and share ideas, inspiration and news.

Welcome to Atomique47. I hope you enjoy what you see here and keep coming back. :)
